Mr. David B. Chandler, 79, of Gettysburg, PA., and formerly of Hampton Cove, AL, passed away on August 29, 2015. He was 5the husband of the late Judy Montgomery Chandler and also the late Judith Ann Chandler. born in Rome, GA., David was the Mr. David B. Chandler, 79, of Gettysburg, PA, and formerly of Hampton Cove, AL, passed away on August 29, 2015. He was the husband of the late Judy Montgomery Chandler and also of the late Judith Ann Chandler.Born in Rome, GA, David was the son of the late Cornelius and Bennie Chandler. He was a great husband, father, grandad, a devoted Christian, and was the pinnacle of his family. He was a retired professional sales manager, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite member of the Masonic Lodge in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Chandler is survived by two sons, Robin Dale Chandler (Debra) and Gary Chandler (Charlene); two stepchildren, Steven Holcomb (Tony) and Patti Hopkins (Troy); three brothers, Don Chandler, C.M. Chandler, and Mike Templeton; brother-in-law, Dr. Anthony Hussey; sister-in-law, Patricia Cartwright; eight grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Chandler.A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, September 5th at Harriet Chapel Episcopal Church, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont, MD. Following the memorial service, Mr. Chandler's remains will be scattered in the memorial garden at Harriet Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Harriett Chapel Episcopal Church at the above address.
