Darlene Lynn Kiever's Obituary
Darlene Lynn Kiever, 79, of Walkersville MD, passed away on May 5, 2026, at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Frederick MD.
Born on October 25, 1946, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was the daughter of the late James Hicks and Sophia Hicks. She graduated from University of Pittsburgh and worked in the healthcare field for over forty years. She was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church of Walkersville. Darlene was a two-time breast cancer survivor.
After retirement, she enjoyed traveling to many places, such as Panama Canal and Alaska. She also loved spending time with her family and pursuing her hobby of sewing.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul Kiever and daughter, Caroline Orr and husband, Ken of Shepherdstown, WV; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Theodore.
She had three younger brothers: Brian Hicks (Diana) of Elkins Park, PA, Kurt Hicks of Sarver, PA, and Robin Hicks of Butler, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Sophia Hicks.
