In Loving Memory of Daniel Kevin Francis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel “Danny” Kevin Francis, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and son, skilled HVAC technician, and a cherished member of the Walkersville, MD community. Danny left us on July 23, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, and dedication to his work.
Born on October 21, 1978, Danny was the beloved son of Kevin and Lynn Francis. From a young age, he displayed a natural aptitude for fixing things and helping others. He pursued his passion for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and later went on to establish his own successful HVAC company, which became a testament to his hard work, expertise, and dedication to provide for his family.
Combining his love of baseball and his charitable nature, Danny was a volunteer youth baseball coach for Glade Valley Athletic Association (GVAA) for many years. He also assisted in coaching youth wrestling and softball for GVAA. Throughout his time volunteering he made relationships with and touched the lives of many children and their families.
Danny’s devotion extended beyond his professional life; he was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Jessica Francis. As well as a very proud and supportive father to his three children, Benjamin, Brianna, and Bailey Francis. Additionally, Danny frequently spent time with his deeply cherished parents, siblings and their children. Danny and his family shared countless treasured memories together, building a strong foundation of love and support that will forever be remembered by those close to them.
Danny is preceded by grandparents Robert and Santina Francis of Rockville, and Thelma and Edward Hess of Milwaukee, Michigan, as well as in-law Deborah Bradley of Walkersville. Surviving besides his parents and immediate family, are his siblings, Mattie Nash and husband Aaron Nash of Walkersville, Marianne McGarrity and husband Stewart McGarrity of Natick, Massachusetts, Darrick Francis and wife Christina Francis of Walkersville, Janet Kravitz and husband Jason Kravitz of Walkersville, James Francis of Walkersville, and Joseph Francis of Woodsboro; in-law Rodger Bradley of Walkersville; brother-in-law Brad Bradley of Echo Park, California; sister-in-law Cindy Trey and husband Ted Trey of Mountaindale; along with 15 beloved nieces and nephews.
In the Walkersville community, Danny was known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand. He was always there when someone needed assistance, whether it was fixing a broken heater or supporting a neighbor in times of need. His impact on the community will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. The funeral services will be held at Providence Baptist Church on August 2, 2023, commencing at 11 am.
As we mourn the loss of Danny, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and the lasting imprint he leaves on our hearts. In his memory, let us strive to be as compassionate, dedicated, and caring as he was to his loved ones and his community.
