Cornelius Alexander Ennis, age 79, of Mt. Airy, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. He was born May 19, 1935 in Alberton, Maryland the son of the late Isaac Ennis and the late Emma Pierson Ennis. He was the husband of the late Anna Irene Snyder Ennis. He was a retired supervisor for C.R. Daniels Company and was a Painter. He was a Baseball little league manager in Mt. Airy. He was a former member of the band called Irene & The Country Rascals. He was the father of Danny and Carol Ennis of South Carolina, Connie and John Barnhouse of Mt. Airy and Garey E. Ennis and girlfriend Christine of West Virginia. Predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters. He was the grandfather of Bonnie Ellis, Donna Stringfield, Kyle Ennis, Lizzie Scaletta, Garey E. Ennis, Jr., Tommy Ennis and Jason Ennis, Chris Howard, Leroy Langley and Tracey Langley; also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; special family members Diane Langley, Evelyn and Roland Toms and Joe Howard; Uncle of Gerald Travis and wife Dee, James Travis and Romer Travis and Helen Coburn. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM; where Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 9:00 AM with Rev.
