Mrs. Connie Jean Conner, 73, of Knoxville Md., died Thursday July 28, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Frederick Md., on January 16, 1943 to the late Christian Otho Brashears and Virgie Neomi Lamb. She was the wife of the late Richard Joseph Conner Jr., who died in 2003, they had been married for 41 years. Connie was a seamstress for H.L. Hartz Company, a member of the First Church of God, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Loyal Order of Eagles Aerie 1136, the Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96 and the Moose Lodge 1582 all of Brunswick Md. Surviving to cherish her memory are a daughter, Penny Spring and fiancee Paul Stottlemyer of Hagerstown and a son, Thomas Conner (April) of Knoxville, 6 Sisters, Betty Wiles of Frederick, Hazel Masser of Boonsboro, Shirley Miller of Braddock Heights, Arva Hutzell of Jefferson, Ruby Darr (Buss) of Brunswick and Dee Dee Green (Lawrence) of Wolfsville, 2 Brothers, Buddy Brashears of Jefferson and Jim Brashears (Barbara) of Braddock Heights, Grandchildren Rex and Desiree Wentzell, David Anders Jr., Amanda and Thomas Rhinehart, Richard Conner and Donald Conner. Great Grandchildren Dylan Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Hayden Stine, Sierra Anders, Peighton Rhinehart, Colin Norris and Samatha Norris. She will also be remembered by special friends Dorothy Polan of Brunswick, Betty Lou Reynolds of Brunswick and Barbara Cooper of Martinsburg WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Virgie, husband Richard, Brothers Charles and Richard Brashears, Sister Margie Wiles, Mabel Mills, Josephina Smith and Margureite Fraley. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 31, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, 100 Petersville Road, Brunswick where a funeral service will be held on Monday August 1, 2016 at 11am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Officiating will be Pastor Corey Berkey. Memorial donations in memory of Connie can be made to the Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance Company, 200 W. Potomac Street, Brunswick Md., 21716.
