Claudette "Cleo" Drish's Obituary
Claudette “Cleo” Drish passed away peaceful on June 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Frederick, MD. She was born on November 5, 1951, to the late Carl C. Castle I and Elizabeth Mentzer Castle in Frederick, MD.
She is preceded in death by parents; sister, Catherine C. Castle; and brother, Carl C. Castle II.
She is survived by husband, Edward “Eddie” Arnold Drish; children, Lisa Lynn Roark (Scott), Misty Michelle Tyeryar (Arthur) and Steven Edward Drish; grandchildren, Breana Elizabeth Tyeryar, Kaylee Michelle Tyeryar, Dylan Kyle Tyeryar, Skylar Alisabeth Wells, and Ethan Scott Roark; sisters, Shirley Jones, C. Carolyn Wetzel, and Carla Weddle (Bill), Cindy Castle (Carl Ferguson) and her special great nieces and nephews.
Cleo found solace and joy in her garden, spending countless hours tending to her flowers and plants. Her green thumb was a testament to her love for nature and her ability to nurture life. Cleo’s retirement from the Frederick County government allowed her to prioritize being a loving grandmother. She had a great time exploring downtown Frederick and visiting Baker Park and Culler Lake. Cleo, a talented artist, who found joy in working on crafts and do it yourself projects around the house.
In 1983, Cleo and Eddie exchanged vows, embarking on a journey of love and companionship that spanned decades. Their marriage was a testament to their unwavering devotion to each other.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home, Frederick, MD from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will immediately follow the funeral service.
