Clarice Martin's Obituary
Clarice Martin, 82 of Lewistown went to live in the hands of the Lord on March 11, 2024. Born August 18, 1941, she was the beloved wife of Donald for 65 wonderful years and mother of Kathy Martin, Waynesboro and Vicky Martin, Lewistown.
She was the cafeteria manager at Lewistown Elementary School and an accountant for McLean, Koehler, Sparks and Hammond CPA Firm and later part time for Barbara Keeney, CPA. She was a charter member of the Lewistown District Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary where she served as President. She later became a life member of the Fire Dept. and served as Treasurer, Asst. Treasurer and First Responder. She was inducted into the Frederick County Fire Rescue Hall of Fame in 2013.
She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Springer and a nephew, Bobby Springer. She is survived by grandchildren, Stephanie Wantz of Waynesboro, and Travis Wantz of Thurmont, and brothers Jim (Margie) Springer and Bob Springer and sister Susan McCutchen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick MD. At the request of the deceased, there will be a closed casket.
The family would like to sincerely thank the caring staff at Meritus Medical Center, Fahrney Keedy Nursing Home and Doey's House.
