Clarence Albert King Jr.'s Obituary
Clarence A. “Bud” King Jr., 89, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, while in hospice care at Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown. He was the devoted husband of Kay Antia Bridges King for 68 wonderful years.
Born on November 9, 1936, in Frederick, Maryland, Bud was the son of Clarence and Myrtle Poole King. A hardworking and dedicated man, he built a successful career as a master plumber and proudly owned his own plumbing business. Bud will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love for family, and generous spirit.
He is survived by his four daughters: Sherry Heffner (Mark), Tammy Shaw (Clint), Betty Rock (John), and Jennifer Athey (Irvin). Bud also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the nurses and Hospice of Hagerstown for their compassionate care and support.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway (US 15 North), Frederick, Maryland. The family will receive friends for a viewing at 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service.
