Christopher Messier's Obituary
Christopher Phillip Messier of Frederick known to many “Buddy” or “Little Man” passed away at Frederick Health Hospital at the age of thirty on Friday, September 12, 2025 at days at 6:05 am, from a brief battle with aspiration pneumonia. He was surrounded by friends and family at the time of his passing. Christopher began his life on June 8, 1995, in Baltimore Maryland suffering severe anoxic brain injury at birth resulting to lifelong disability.
He fought through numerous aspirations and hospitalizations throughout his lifetime. Christopher began his school years at UCP-Delray School. At the age of 4, he entered Cedar Lane School in Howard County. At Cedar Lane he loved swimming, in the heated pool, riding his adapted trike, participating in special Olympics, and spending time with other disabled and non-disabled peers. Christopher developed loving relationships with teachers, nurses and other caregivers and throughout his life he was loved by many.
Christopher is survived by his loving mother, Jill Paulis Messier; and his late father, Donald John Messier. He is also survived by his loving sister, Danielle Carol Messier (Brandon Minor); and nephew, Gray David Czarnecki. He will be remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and those who help lovingly care for him, supported by his nurses.
