Charles William Turner Jr's Obituary
Charles “Sonny” W. Turner Jr, age 75, passed away in Frederick, Maryland on January 20, 2023.
Born December 7, 1947, in Montgomery County, Maryland, Son of the late Charles W. Turner Sr and Peggy Turner. He lived in Frederick, went to Wheaton High School, graduating in 1966. He went on to be a Land Surveyor for Snider & Associates until retiring in 2015. Charles was a member of Frederick Baptist Church, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age, and he strove to point others to Him. His life of service demonstrated his deep love for God, his family, and his church.
In addition to his devotion for Jesus, Sonny had a passion for bike riding, computers, wood working, photography and model building. He was truly a man of many talents.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruth Turner; daughter, Brenda Eastep; son, David Turner; sister, Joyce Turner; and adored grandchildren, Sam Eastep Jr., Becca Eastep, Paul Eastep, Abigail Eastep, Caleb Turner, Katie Eastep, Philip Turner, Joy Turner, and Gideon Turner.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Turner Sr and his mother, Peggy Turner.
Visitation will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm with a funeral service to follow at 5pm, located at Frederick Baptist Church, 5305 Mt. Zion Road, Frederick MD.
Interment will be private.
