Obituary
Carrie Koontz Brown, 86 of Thurmont, MD, went to be with our Lord on June 10th, 2016. She was the wife of the late Mr. Charles Brown of Thurmont, MD. She is survived by one brother, William Getz and wife Agnes, two children: Lisa Paster, (Paul) and Wanda Myers, (Mark). She also leave behind five grandchildren, Sharon Lewis, (Tim), Mary Senseney, (Derrick), Sabrina Renner (Chris Spencer), Britney Flynn,(Jake) and Leah, four great grandchildren: Adam, Kyle, Brayson and Jace. Plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by, mother Anna Koontz, sister Amy Terech, brother Francis Getz, great Uncle Harry (Pap) Koontz and wife Edna, and her son-in-law Keith Myers. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was a member of the Weller's United Methodist Church of Thurmont, MD. She was employed and retired from the Thurmont Shoe Factory in Thurmont, MD. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, June13, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 14. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Thurmont.
