FREDERICK, MD – Carol Ann Rogers, 71, passed away April 7, 2020, at Frederick Health and Rehabilitation Center in Frederick, Md, after a week-long battle with the COVID-19 virus.
Mrs. Rogers was born on Jan. 23, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Paul and Faye Parker. She was raised in Kiefer, Ok., and graduated from Kiefer High School in 1967. In 1969, she married Larry Rogers and settled in Sapulpa, Ok. They were married for 45 years until his passing in 2014. She worked as a hair dresser, mother of two, and foster parent for Creek County in Oklahoma, caring for more than 100 children in crisis over more than 20 years. She moved to New Market, Md., in 2015. A devout Christian, Mrs. Rogers was active in church and family activities, loved dogs, and enjoyed making beaded jewelry.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Regina (Rogers) and James Bennett of New Market, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Dana Rogers of Beggs, Ok.; a sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Larry Harris of Tulsa, Ok.; sister-in-law, Colleen Parker of Tulsa, Ok.; three grandchildren, Marissa Bennett, John Bennett and Josie Rogers; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; step-father Oran Jack Davis; husband; two brothers, Billy Parker and Harold Parker; and a sister, Donna Logan.
Arrangements are being handled by Rest Haven Funeral Home of Frederick, Md. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa, Ok. Because of COVID-19 quarantines, services will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Creek County Foster Care.
