Carol Ann Hochhauser's Obituary
Carol Ann Hochhauser, Age 81, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Monday, October 23rd, 2023.
Carol was born on January 3rd, 1942 in Washington, DC to the late Julia E. and Charles R. Bowie.
Carol married her loving and talkative husband Fred Hochhauser on June 28th, 1964. They were happily married for 54 years. Carol is survived by her sister, Susan Long (Billy); sister-in-law Esther Chottiner, brother-in-law Allen Hochhauser (Sonnie) daughters Tracy Parsly (Johnny) and Jill Brenner (Robert); grandchildren Shane Parsly (Steph), Shelby Powell (Matt), Morgan Brenner, and Jacob Brenner (Tracie); great-grandchildren Lilah, Brooks, Adaline, and Oliver and bonus great-grandchildren Natalie and Sophia.
Carol spent her early years active in sports and was a top tier softball player for many years. She loved all music, especially Motown and Christmas music, and would always have the radio on in her kitchen. Her grandchildren don’t know why the radio played in the kitchen because her favorite thing to make for dinner was reservations.
Carol was the “cool mom” on the block when Tracy and Jill were growing up. Carol met Freddie at an early age, and they spent almost every day together after that.
Carol’s favorite things in life were a cold glass of Coke and her family. She spent every minute she could surrounded by family, especially when she became a Bubbie. Her greatest pride and joy were the children and having everyone together as a family.
Services will be held on October 29, 2023 at 11 am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, 9501 B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick, Md 21701 with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend an invitation to friends and family to share in food and fellowship following interment.
