Carl Keeney (July 16, 1956 - January 4, 2024)
Carl Keeney, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 4, 2024, at the age of 67.
Born to Charles Keeney Sr and Emma Keeney (Gruber) on July 16, 1956, Carl brought immeasurable joy and happiness to their lives. As a son, he was a source of pride and love to his parents.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Edith Keeney, and his son-in-law, Chris Barnhart.
On his journey through life, Carl met and married the love of his life, Verna Keeney, and together they built a strong and loving partnership. Their marriage was a testament to their commitment and devotion, creating countless precious memories through the years.
Carl's legacy lives on through his adoring children, son Calvin and wife, Melissa of Rocky Ridge, MD and daughter, Vicky and husband, David Quill of Fairfield, PA who will forever cherish the love and guidance he bestowed upon them. His siblings, Charles Keeney II (wife Ann) of Lorton, VA and Emma Lou Harris (husband Michael) of Rocky Ridge, MD. His grandchildren, Blake (wife Emily), Dakota (wife Megan), Alexis (husband Benjamin), Montana, Carl, Cheyenne, and Tristin, were a constant source of joy and inspiration for him. Additionally, his great-grandchildren, Hudson, Rylan, Ivy, Kennedy, and Fulton, brought a sparkle to his eyes and added extra warmth to his heart.
A kind, fun, and loving man, Carl touched the lives of all who knew him. He approached each day with a smile, finding happiness in the simplest of things. His warm presence and infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on January 9, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and again on January 10, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, located at 9501B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick, 21701.
A funeral service, honoring Carl's life, will be held on January 10, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Following the service, entombment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Garden Mausoleum, where he will find eternal peace.
