Calvin C. Clay's Obituary
Calvin C. Clay, age 93, formerly of Mt.Airy, Maryland and recently of Sun Valley at the Meadows, Westminster, Maryland, passed away on March 6, 2025.
Calvin was born on August 27, 1931, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, Maryland. He was the son of the late Wilson C. Clay and Edna King Clay. He was the husband of Anna M. Tenly Clay, his wife of 73 years. She predeceased him on February 6, 2025.
Calvin worked for Montgomery County Highway Maintenance Division, Little Bennett Golf course, and McDonald's of Woodbine, Maryland.
Calvin was a member of the Damascus Wesleyan Church for many years. At the time of his death he was a member of South Carroll Church of the Nazarene.
Calvin is survived by 3 sons: James Clay of Thurmont, MD (Linda), Daniel Clay of Dover, DE (Wanda), William Clay of Lexington, NC (Roxanne); 4 grandchildren -- Kathy Rickerd and husband Kevin of Thurmond, MD, Daniel Clay of Dover, DE, William Clay and wife Jennifer of Lexington, NC, Brandy Boone and fiance Mike of Lexington, NC; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He had 3 brothers and sisters who predeceased him.
A funeral service will be at Resthaven Funeral Home of Frederick, MD on March 12, 2025 -- Viewing at 10am and the funeral at 11am.
