Byron Wesley CopleyBorn July 10, 1961, in Washington D.C., Byron grew up in Brentwood, MD and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1979. He spent 10 years of his career at Litton Industries and Boeing Computer Services and 24 years as a Computer Specialist with the Library of Congress. Byron was preceded in death by (father) Joe Clayborn Copley, (mother) Frances Leah Copley and (brother) Joey Copley. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon Copley, and children Jason Copley (Kara), Lauren Kelleher (Jesse), Kristin Copley, Allen Jones and grandchildren: Evan, Landon, Liv, Madison and Brennan, Sister Karla Ficken (Richard Linton), Brother Kevin Copley (Patti). A devoted father and 'Pop', beloved co-worker, dedicated church member and friend to all, Byron spent his time helping others with a smile on his face and lived by the motto, "Life is good." In 2013, Byron and Sharon were honored as Frederick's Foster family of the year. Services to be held at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 28325 Kemptown R., Damascus viewing on Friday February 20 from 3-5p.m. and 7-9p.m. and funeral on Saturday February 21 at 11a.m. Burial to be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Byron Copley Memorial fund at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 28325 Kemptown Rd., Damascus, MD 20872.
