Mrs. Brenda Joyce Wachter, 64, of Thurmont, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Edward D. Wachter, Jr., her husband of 45 years.Born in Frederick, Brenda was the daughter of the late Irvin Thomas Bagent and the late Evelyn Louise Blair. She graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in 1970 and worked at the Hartz Suit Factory in Frederick before she met her future husband. Brenda was an avid Bingo player, and she loved pocketbooks, yard sales, and Elvis.In addition to her loving husband, Brenda is survived by two children, Edward D. Wachter III & his wife LeAnn of Pennsylvania, and Timothy Lee Wachter & his wife Valerie of Virginia; a brother, Wayne Bagent & his wife Nancy; a sister, Sharon Covell; five grandchildren, Kourtney, Nicholas, Evan, Josh, and Paytin; a great-grandson, Jayden; a beloved dog, Joy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 7 - 9 PM at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12th. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross at Resthaven. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda's memory may be made to the Lewistown Volunteer Fire Company, 1101 Hessong Bridge Road, Frederick MD 21701.
