Betty Lou Wright (nAC.e Wagner), age 87, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018, in Frederick, MD. She was born in Baltimore on March 5, 1931, to Henry and Pauline Wagner (nAC.e Poehlitz). Betty graduated from Eastern High School, an all-girls school in Baltimore, in 1949. On September 11, 1954, she married Charles Edward Wright. Together they raised two sons, David (Noreen) and Robert (Kathleen), and one daughter, Elizabeth Anne (David). Betty had a wonderful voice and loved to sing. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and Brook Hill United Methodist Church choirs. She could often be heard singing as she did chores around the house. She had an infectious smile and laugh as well as a keen wit and sense of humor. With Betty, you knew where you stood. She enjoyed bird watching, reading and spending time with family and friends while at the beach or in Frederick. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles; her brother, Henry "Hank" Wagner of Dayton, OH; and her sister, Doris Gronert of Lutherville, MD. She is survived by her three children and her beloved granddaughter Alisha, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Homewood, 7407 Willow Rd., Frederick, MD, on Saturday, March 2, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
