Obituary
Audrey R. Levy, 93, of Frederick passed away peacefully at Kline Hospice House on Sunday, December 10, 2017, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the loving wife of the late Irvin J. Levy, their marriage lasting more than 54 years. The youngest of four children, she was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Morris and Hannah Robins. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Bert and Lou Robins and sister; Marion Wagner. She is survived by three daughters; Judi Carter and son-in-law, Steve of Brunswick. Lois Costin and son-in-law, Steve of Middletown. And Leslie Poyourow of Bethesda. Grandchildren; Michelle Wiggins, David Jourabchi, Danny Jourabchi, Jessica Costin and Cassie Strickland. Great-grandchildren; Joshua and Andrew Wiggins, and one on the way. Many nieces and nephews. Audrey raised her children in Silver Spring and retired and lived in Florida. She worked at the Pentagon when it first opened as a secretary then after marrying her husband in 1948 she stayed at home to raise their 3 children. Later, she worked and retired after 20 years for NIH. She loved to bowl, travel, swim, go out to dinner and spend time with her friends. She was a girl scout leader for more than 10 years and was very active in the Jewish War Veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. The family also wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Tranquillity at Fredericktowne Assisted Living for their years of kindness and attention to Audrey.
