Mrs. Annabelle Inez (Coleman) Lawson, 95, started her new eternal life on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. She passed away at her daughter's home in Falling Waters, WV. She was the wife of the late Preston H. Lawson, who preceded her in death in 2009. Born March 21, 1920, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Inez (Rochelle) Coleman. Annabelle worked for Air Pack Co. until she retired. There she had a good friend Elizabeth Weidner, who kept in touch with her until her death. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the Moose Lodge. Her greatest joy was her family and most of all she loved to dance. She was dearly loved and will be missed. Mrs. Lawson is survived by her daughter, Winnie Droppleman and husband Bernard, grandchildren, Vicki Sowers and husband Mike, Mark Reed and Linda Shank, Lisa Hunter and husband Jeffrey, Jay Reed and David Droppleman and wife Christine, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. Anjel Scarborough will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Annabelle's name to the Alzheimers Association, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702.
