Anna Kathryn "Kathy" Rogers, 85, of Frederick, Maryland, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Rogers, Sr. for nearly 50 years. Kathy was born on July 10, 1933, in Dawson Springs, KY. She was the daughter of the late George and Thelma (Franklin) Monroe. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy was an active member of South End Baptist Church in Frederick. She was a very strong Christian and always put the Lord first in her life. She was very much aware that the Lord had a plan for her life and thanked him daily for his love. She is survived by her loving children, Lynn Daly and husband, Joe, Leigh Baum and husband, Andy, Layne Fry and husband, Carl, Bob Rogers, Jr. and wife, Karen, and Lori Rogers all of Frederick; 13 grandchildren, Natalie (Fry) Anthony, Bridgid (Fry) Sandler, Alicia (Daly) Graves, Chris Baum, Krista (Haines) Mayne, Doug Rogers, Geoffrey Fry, Jason Haines, Kenny Rogers, Matt Baum, Michael Haines, Noah Daly and Joey Daly; 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Coleen Armstrong of Madisonville, KY. Kathy was preceded in death by brother, Doug Monroe. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, at South End Baptist Church in Frederick. Rev. Michael Cooper will officiate. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick. Memorial donations may be made to South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick, MD 21701.
