Mrs. Anna M. Clay's Obituary
Anna M. Clay, age 91, formerly of Mt.Airy, Maryland, passed away on February 6, 2025, at Sun Valley at the Meadows in Westminster, Maryland.
Anna was born on December 16, 1933 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late John and Ada Tenley. She was the wife of Calvin C. Clay, her husband of 73 years.
Anna worked at the National Geographic in Gaithersburg, Little Bennett Golf course, and McDonald’s of Mt.Airy.
Anna was a member of Damascus Wesleyan Church for many years. At the time of her death she was a member of South Carroll church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 3 sons, James Clay (Linda) of Thurmont, Maryland, Daniel Clay (Wanda) of Dover, Delaware, and William Clay (Roxann) of Lexington, North Carolina; 4 grandchildren – Kathy Rickerd and Kevin of Thurmont, MD, Daniel Clay of Dover, DE, William Clay and wife Jennifer of Lexington, NC, Brandy Boone and fiance Mike of Lexington, NC; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters Edna Patton of Plant City, Florida, and Ellen Hines of Laurel, MD. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
A viewing will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick on Friday, February 14, from 10 am to 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
