Mrs. Anita Geneva Brown, 86, of Frederick, passed away on October 31, 2018 at Ballenger Creek Center in Frederick. She was the loving wife of Clifton Brown, of Frederick, for 70 years. Born in Hope Hill, Anita was the daughter of the late Edgar Diggs and Geneva Holland Diggs. She attended Lincoln High School and worked for many years as a housekeeper in Bethesda and Frederick. She was a lifetime member of Hope Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her loving husband, are five children, Rosetta Drew & husband James Slater of Berkeley Springs, WV, Linda White & husband John of Silver Spring, Dwight Brown & wife Sheila of Hope Hill, Eric Brown & wife Delores of Texas, and Robert Brown of Frederick; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, friends and other relatives, and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Calvin Diggs. The family will receive friends from 12 - 1 PM on Monday, November 5th at the Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy. in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Brown's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
