Alfred Lawson's Obituary
Alfred “Gene” Lawson, of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the Hospice House in Kearneysville, West Virginia. He was born on February 25, 1942, in Chilhowie, Virginia, to the late Alfred and Lorraine Lawson.
Gene graduated from Poolesville High School and later worked as an equipment operator for the Montgomery County Government. As a young man, he volunteered with the Beallsville Fire Department in Montgomery County.
He is survived by his brothers, Charles Lawson and Dale Lawson. Gene was preceded in death by his son, Brian Lawson; his parents; his brother, Robert Buford Lawson; and his sister, Yvonne Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick, Maryland. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Monocacy Room at Resthaven.
