Bob was kind yet tough. He certainly "saved my bacon" a few times when I made stupid security errors, not by overlooking the rules, but by gently steering me back on track.
I knew him when he was active duty as well as during his civilian service at USAMIIA & AFMIC, Ft. Detrick. His performance was stellar, yet he was not a braggart. I remember the jacket he proudly wore which had patches from some amazing operations he was part of in Vietnam -- thank God for men like Bob Johnson.
My prayer is that Bob was welcomed into Jesus' arms and he now shines in Glory as he celebrates his first Veterans Day in Heaven.
