Cameron M Dorsey, born 16 January 1998 in Frederick, Maryland, passed away at 22 years old on 1 August, 2020 in Killeen, Texas due to a vehicle accident. Cameron was that one person to make everyone smile and laugh in any situation and was always so good at lighting up any room just with his presence. Everyone loved his smile and playful goofy personality.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Shyra Lynn Dorsey-Echols, of Fort Hood, Texas, his father, Darryl Echols Jr, his grandparents, Betty Lou Dorsey-Gibson and Randy Gibson, grandfather, Blaine Brown, and his sisters Tabitha S. Echols, Maria K. Echols, and Nyla S. Echols, uncles; Bryan Dorsey and Russell Dorsey.SR., along with other loved ones and many friends.
His goal with everyone around him was to make them laugh and brighten up their days. He truly brought out the best in everyone that was in his life. He always made sure to check in with everyone in the house before he left and after he had returned home. He would visit each family member’s room to see how their day was going and to check up on us. He truly was filled with so much love. You felt it with his hugs. You felt it in his tone. You could just feel the love he had for you radiating off of him. Every time he walked in a room, the mood changed. He was so positive and optimistic, even in the lowest moments. Even when he had a bad day, he always made sure everyone else around him was alright. That is just a miniscule example of the loving, caring, down to earth person that he was. Cameron was loved by many and will be missed by all. His gentle heart and kind nature will never be forgotten. Cameron will be laid to rest at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, Maryland. A Celebration of Cameron’s life will be held at a later date.
