Mr. Max Andrew Morris, 79, of Frederick, peacefully passed from his earthly home to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 17, 2017, with his family at bedside. He was the devoted husband of the late Charlotte Patricia Ningard Morris, who passed in 2007.Max was born June 7, 1937 in Hyndman, PA, the oldest of three sons of the late Floyd William Morris and Marion C. Shaffer Morris. He lived in Ridgley and Wiley Ford, WV with his family before moving to Hyattsville, MD in the summer of 1954, and graduated from Northwestern Senior High School in 1955, although he always considered himself a Ridgley Blackhawk.In 1969 Max married the love of his life, Charlotte Patricia Ningard, and moved to Frederick, MD in 1970. He was the father of two daughters: Holly Catherine Morris, his caregiver, of Frederick, and Schatzi Charlotte Andrea Morris, of Millersville, MD. He was also the proud grandfather of Dakota Winfield Morris, of Frederick, who helped care for him. In addition to his loving wife, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Keith Floyd (Barbara) and Larry Paul (Pat) Morris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Bonnie Miller (WV), Chris Morris (TN), Ryan Morris (MD), Rob Brickett (WA) and Scott Brickett (FL). He is also survived by many cousins and his sister-in-law Winnie Brickett (Doug).Max enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping, hunting (especially goose and duck), and surf fishing on the outer banks of North Carolina.Max started his career as a drafting trainee, working his way up to be a CAD Electro-Mechanical Designer using Auto Cad. He was self-taught. He worked on the designs of numerous mechanical housings and printed circuit boards for both spaceflight and ground support equipment. He also worked on mail handling equipment for the USPS and commercial venues, and containerized containers for the military. He also used Auto Cad to lay out printed circuit boards.The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick. MD 21702.
